Program Description:
The Autodesk CAD Industry Expert program incorporates
theory and practical knowledge from each
Autodesk training and AutoCAD
class in NJ - New Jersey and PA - Pennsylvania.
It includes a core module in basic CAD software, object
visualization and technical math and three specialization
modules in architectural design theory, mechanical design
concepts and electrical and electronics drafting
techniques.
Program Objective: To train the student to become an entry-level CADD drafter in any of the architectural, civil, electrical, electronics or mechanical industries. The program will provide skills and knowledge in the different areas of drafting with an emphasis in computer-aided drafting. Graduates will be employable to assist architects or civil engineers in the design of residential and commercial structures or aid electronics or mechanical engineers in creating details and layouts of various types of equipment.
Program Prerequisites: A high school diploma, an interview with a school administrator and employment in a design, engineering or drafting position or possession of sufficient occupational competencies is required.
