Program Description: This program consists of three courses that give the student basic accounting theory, popular business applications and business theory. Students perform the entire bookkeeping process through the use of sole proprietorship and corporate simulations. The student will work with IBM PC compatible computers using applications in accounting. A Microsoft Office applications course is included to enhance computer skills. This program is designed to update the skills of the mature student.
Program Objective: To train the student to understand basic accounting principles and bookkeeping procedures utilizing both manual and computerized accounting systems.
